Acing an interview
Preparation is the key to self-confidence in the interview! Here are some tips to keep in mind:
• Research the company and industry.
• Examine the skills requirements and match those skills to your experience.
• Dress professionally.
• Prepare questions to ask the employer.
• Be prepared for a telephone interview for pre-screening.



• Assume most people will be willing to talk with you if you are genuinely enthusiastic and interested in them.
• Make sure they understand that you are not looking for a job. You are looking for an opportunity to contribute.
• Ask for a business card.
• After the interview, record contact information and follow up with the recruiter.
• Write a thank you note and express sincere interest in the position.
• Maintain ongoing contact.
